Eric Locke found guilty of the murder of Sonia Blount

Eric Locke from Clondalkin (35) has been found guilty of the murder of Sonia Blount (31) from Tallaght, with the jury reaching a unanimous verdict.

Locke of St John’s Park East in Clondalkin had admitted he caused the death of Ms Blount in the Plaza Hotel on February 16, 2014 but had denied he murdered her.

The trial had been taking place for the past two weeks at the Central Criminal Court, with closing statements made on Friday.
