Number of events held to mark International Women’s Day

RESIDENTS are invited to take part in a 5km walk in Ballyfermot tomorrow, Wednesday (March 7, at 7pm), to mark International Women’s Day.

The ‘Walks & Talks Ballyfermot’ event is supported by Dublin City Council, and will be facilitated by local fitness group Sugarfree Truths.

The group encourage men, women and kids that may be interested, to join in for the event – starting point, Church of Assumption at 7pm.

Men are particularly encouraged to join in – to support those ladies in their life.

Refreshments will be served afterwards in the Family Resource Centre.

Clondalkin event

National Collective of Community Based Women’s Networks Dublin Region will be hosting an event for International Women’s Day in Aras Chronain Irish Cultural Centre, Watery Lane, Orchard Lane, Clondalkin, Dublin 22 from 9.30am.

It will include yoga, Indian head massage, mindfulness and a light lunch provided.
