Family care firm launches with community-first mission

SINCE May, the family-run business Farrell Care Solutions has been offering its care services to areas around Dublin and held its official launch at Workways, Tallaght, on September 24.

Farrell Care Solutions provides assistance to adults in their own homes to ensure they are able to live comfortably and independently at home, while supporting families to consider their options, access services, and make informed decisions with confidence.

Set up by husband and wife Aidan and Tina Farrell, the family-orientated business is run by themselves and their four adult children, with well over 20 years of care-giving experience between them.

Tina and her husband have personal experience with substantial health issues for many years, as their son was born with a congenital condition, meaning he has complex medical needs and has received a diagnosis of autism.

The couple understand how difficult it can be for families to try and seek support and care that is needed without having to “fight tooth and nail for it” or worry about the financial implications it will have.

“We want to stand out as a company that’s not out there to make money  from helping people; we want to be able to adjust our costs and our prices to suit people,” Tina said.

Tina and her husband are hoping to work alongside the HSE in the future but are providing valuable homecare solutions to those in need all around Dublin.

“We would like to be able to let anybody who needs any assistance in their home or with their loved ones know that they can come to us, and we can adjust our fees to try to meet their requirements, so they won’t be under so much pressure.”

Farrell Care Solutions also runs Rachel’s Care & Support, which is a Sponsored Hours Initiative inspired by the strength of a woman who was diagnosed with motor neuron disease.

The programme aims to provide care to a client free of charge through local businesses, organisations or individuals who wish to sponsor care hours for those who may not be able to afford it, taking financial pressure off individuals who are experiencing times of hardship.
