Father delivers baby in Clondalkin with help from emergency call takers
It was a morning to remember for one Lucan couple after they welcomed their new born baby a little earlier than expected in Clondalkin this morning.
Having made it to the car in anticipation of their new bundle of joy arriving, they began their trip to the hospital, but had to pull in at the side of the road in Cappaghmore in Clondalkin.

According to Dublin Fire Brigade, the father delivered the child with instruction from emergency call takers, and an ambulance from Tallaght arrived shortly after that.
A fire engine also arrived and paramedics assessed mother and baby before cutting the umbilical cord and transporting the pair to the Coombe.
If you know the happy couple let them know we’d love to chat to them ahead of this week’s edition on Thursday.
Everyone at the Echo Newspaper and Echo.ie would like to congratulate the parents on their new arrival.
