
Fire crews tackle warehouse blaze in Ballymount
SEVEN units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene of a warehouse fire in Ballymount overnight.
Units from Tallaght and Dolphin’s Barn attended the fire just after midnight along with a turntable and water tower.
No injuries were reported during the incident and Dublin Fire Brigade remained at the scene until 4.20am.

Dublin Fire Brigade told The Echo: “The Eastern Regional Control Centre located in Tara Street fire station received a 999 call reporting a fire off the Ballymount Road Lower at 0013 hrs.
“Four fire engines from Dolphins Barn and Tallaght fire stations responded to the incident and they were joined by three specialist appliances including a turntable ladder.
“On arrival firefighters found an industrial unit well alight with smoke drifting across the locality.
Overnight seven units were called to a fire off the Ballymount Road.

“We received great assistance from Uisce Eireann, ESB Networks, Dublin City Council, Gas Networks Ireland and Gardai and firefighting operations ceased at 0420 hrs. There were no injuries reported”.
