Former Edmonstown Mill on the market at €1 million
By Laura Lyne
A RESIDENTIAL development site at the former Edmonstown Mill in Rathfarnham with potential for a medium density development is for sale for €1 million.
It has an approximate area of 1.56 acres and is located within a “highly-sought residential area”.
The site includes the former Mill buildings, which are protected structures and include a special objective under the South Dublin County Council Development Plan.
Under the plan, the special objective for the Edmonstown Mill is to “facilitate sensitive development within the site of Edmonstown Mill that would retain and protect the architectural and technical importance of the Protected Structure (No 351 – Victorian Style Industrial Mill (Former Cloth Mill/ Factory)”.
Potential for the residential development on the site is indicated through previous planning applications, which indicate that the council will look favourably upon such a development subject to planning permission.
Further information about the site can be obtained through DNG New Homes at 4912600.
