THE former Gallaher’s site on the junction of Greenhills and Airton Road in Tallaght has this week gone on the market for €4.5m.
The six acres of ‘development land’ forms part of the old Gallaher headquarters, which was once a busy employment hub in the area.

Now, the site is on the market for €4.5m, with its potential for enterprise and residential-led development being flagged by Turley Property Advisors.
According to Turley, the site is zoned REGEN by South Dublin County Council - which supports the ‘regeneration of underutilised industrial lands that are proximate to town centres and/or public transport nodes for more intensive enterprise and residential led development’.
Lying at the junction of the Greenhills Road and Airton Road, the site is in a prime location close to Tallaght Village, The Square, TU Dublin – Tallaght (IT Tallaght), the N81, M50 and transport links.
A mixture of commercial buildings and retail warehouses are located within the immediate surrounding area.
The vacant site is currently home to a number of buildings, in ‘shell condition’, with some sections of the buildings experiencing extensive fire damage in recent years.
