Gardai continue to question teenager in relation to Reece Cullen stabbing

Gardai in Tallaght continue to question a teenager this evening in relation to the fatal stabbing of Reece Cullen yesterday.

It is believed the youth presented himself to Tallaght Garda station this morning alongside his mother.

Reece Cullen (17), from Bawnlea in Tallaght, was fatally injured in the attack which happened in Kilclare Crescent yesterday afternoon at 3:30pm.

A statement from Gardai this morning said: “Gardaí have arrested a male juvenile in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred at Kilclare Crescent, Jobstown, yesterday afternoon Thursday 5th January, 2017 at approximately 3pm.

“The male was arrested in the Tallaght area this morning, Friday 6th January 2017 shortly after 7am.

“He is currently detained at Tallaght Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.”
