Gardai investigate shooting incident in Tallaght

GARDAÍ and emergency services are at the scene of a shooting incident in Tallaght which occurred this afternoon.

The incident happened at approximately 1pm today, Tuesday, February 22, and The Echo understands that one person has been taken to Tallaght University Hospital with injuries.

It is understood that the incident occurred at a field in the Kiltalown Hill area of Jobstown.

A Garda spokesperson said in a statement this afternoon: “Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a firearms incident which occurred at approximately 1pm this afternoon, Tuesday, 22nd February 2022 in the Tallaght area of Dublin.”
