Gardai investigating early morning stabbing in Tallaght estate

GARDAI are looking for witnesses in relation to an early morning stabbing incident in a Tallaght estate, which saw a man in his twenties hospitalised with a stab wound.
At around 6am this morning, Tallaght gardai responded to an emergency call in Knockmore – where they found a male in his twenties suffering from a stab wound.
A senior Garda source confirmed to Echo.ie that the injury was non-life threatening.
Speaking to Echo.ie, a senior Garda source said: “We believe that this young lad had a dispute with another individual, which resulted in him being stabbed.
“The incident happened around 6am this morning out on the road in Knockmore.
“The man is currently in Tallaght Hospital receiving medical attention.”
The source added: “There was no assailant on the scene when we arrived and we are currently investigating the circumstances around the incident.
“No arrests have yet been made and anybody who witnessed anything in the area is encouraged to contact Tallaght station.”
