Gardai issue warning after €10k worth of cannabis jellies seized in Ballycullen

GARDAÍ seized €10,000 worth of ‘cannabis jellies’ and €6,000 in cash in the Ballycullen area during a search.

The items were seized by Divisional Drugs Units from DMR North and South in the course of a search operation on Monday, October 18 in Ballycullen, Dublin 24.

No arrests have been made to date in relation to the seizure and Gardaí have confirmed that investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí have issued a warning to members of the public about the dangers of sweets containing cannabis ahead of Halloween.

According to a Garda statement released: ‘Cannabis Jellies’ worth approximately €10,000 and cash €6,000 seized by Divisional Drugs Units from DMR North and South in the course of a search operation in Ballycullen, Dublin 24 on the 18th October 2021.

“With Halloween approaching Gardaí are again reminding the public of the dangers these products pose to our younger citizens.”
