UPDATE: Gardai seek public’s help in tracing missing teen last seen in Tallaght
UPDATE: Following the recovery of a body in the Bray area of Wicklow on Friday, January 7, 2022, a Missing Person Appeal in respect of Shane O’Connor, 17 years, has been stood down.
An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and public for their assistance in this matter. No further action is required and no further information is available at this time.
GARDAI are renewing their appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of Shane O’Connor (17), who was last seen in Tallaght.
In an appeal issued, gardai said that Shane is missing from Newbridge, County Kildare since Thursday, January 6.
He was last seen on the morning of January 6 in the Tallaght area.
Shane is described as being 5’ 6” in height with short brown hair and blue eyes.

When last seen, he was wearing a black hoodie with a large print design in the centre, dark tracksuit pants, a wine coloured t-shirt and white runners.
According to gardai, they are concerned for Shane’s welfare.
