Gardai seize cigarettes, tobacco, car parts and cash in Citywest raid

Gardai made something of an unusual discovery yesterday in Citywest during the search of five containers.

The search, in conjunction with Dublin City Council and the Revenue Customs Service uncovered items including cigarettes, bales of tobacco, champagne and cash.

 

The search at a warehouse in Citywest also uncovered high-end car parts.

In total, 200,000 cigarettes were seized, along with 19 bales of tobacco, in excess of 100 bottles of champagne, high-end car parts belonging to at least five cars, and a sum of cash were recovered.

A 27-year-old man is currently being questioned at Tallaght Garda Station.
