Gardai seize vehicle after driver used vise-grip to stop brake fluid leaking

Gardai are always sharing images online of cars they have seized for a multitude of reasons, but what they shared today is actually a bit scary.

Officers from the Dublin Metropolitan Region stopped a vehicle after it was discovered it had no tax or insurance.

The car was also being driven without any NCT.

On closer inspection Gardai found a vise-grips clamped onto the brake fluid pipe, stopping the brake fluid leaking from what was obviously a previously damaged pipe.

The highly dangerous act not only put the driver in grave danger, but could have led to brake failure, potentially putting the safety of others at risk.

The car was impounded by Gardai.
