
Gardai warn motorists about rubbernecking after serious collision on N4
Gardai have taken to Twitter this afternoon to warn motorists about the dangers of rubbernecking.
The warning comes as emergency services continue to deal with a serious road traffic collision near the Leixlip exit on the N4.
#DUBLIN #N4 Emergency services continue to deal with a serious collision inbound after J5 Leixlip. The left lane and bus lane are blocked.

The accident, inbound on the dual carriageway, caused some delays in the area, while a second accident on the outbound carriageway further added to delays.
On Twitter this afternoon Gard said: “N4 -Lucan Rd, Junction 4 & 5 inbound. Expect delays due to a single vehicle road traffic collision. 2 lanes open currently
“Earlier traffic collision Jct 4-5 inbound. Can OUTBOUND onlookers please refrain from doing so as this is causing major tailbacks. Thank you.”
