Go-ahead for Xilinx Citywest changes

XILINX Ireland has received permission to change the use of over 6,000 sq m of its location in the Citywest Business Campus to “office-based industry use”, which will be sub-let and subdivided from its remaining premises.

The application was granted permission on April 21, and will also see an area of existing office space combined with the development to bring the overall floor space of the office to 7,890 sq m.

As part of the application, a mezzanine level will be removed from above the ground floor of Block G of the Xilinx property, which will result in a 200 sq m reduction of floor space.

Minor elevation changes to the property are also proposed, and include a new entrance within the north elevation of Block E and additional glazing to the north, west and south elevation of Block G.

The newly configured office space will use 197 reconfigured car-parking spaces that are located within the 568 car-parking spaces within the site.

Retention permission for the permanent use of a generator compound on the southern perimiter of the site was also included within the application.
