Good results from Tallaght athletes

THERE were some very good performances by Tallaght athletes at the Irish Miler’s and Dublin Graded Meets which were held respectively on Saturday and Sunday in Santry and UCD.

In Santry on Saturday, Jack Kelly recorded a time of 1:54.32 in his 800m contest, while Ailin Geraghty recorded a new personal best time of 1:58.61 in his 800m.

The following day Gloria Oigbochie won the Senior 100m title in 12:08, with Brianna Dwyer Carty recording times of 12.38 and 12.49 in her grade 1 contests, while Uche Disu, Carlota Malaga Moran, Joanna Shodipo and Ellie Carruth recorded times of 12.37, 12.83, 13.13, and 13.14 respectively in their grade B 100m contests, and Emani Asogba recorded a time of 13.63 in her grade D contest.

In the men’s 100m contests, Sean O’Donnell recorded times of 10.86 and 10.91 in his grade 1 contests, with Simon Essuman recording a time of 11.04 in the same grade, while Dubem Amah recorded times of 10.86 and 10.96 in his grade B contests, and Harmony Livingstone Young a time of 12.56 in the same grade.

In grade C, Jabita Oluwatobi recorded times of 11.71 and 11.75, while Rosada Malanda 11.83 and 11.91 in his grade D contests.

 

Gloria Oigbochie won the Dublin senior 100 metres

A few days earlier at the East Leinster Schools, Ailin Geraghty, representing Colaiste Phiarsaigh, Rathfarnham won silver in the Senior 400m with a time of 50.61, and Leonard Deering won the Minor boys 800m for C.U.S, Leeson Street.
