Grants available for local community healthcare groups in D24

By Aura McMenamin

Those involved in local community healthcare organisations in the Dublin 24 area are being invited to apply for a grant of up to €5,000.

The grant is being provided by the Adelaide Health Foundation, based in Tallaght.

The Adelaide Foundation is a Christian-based independent charity which seeks to provide equal access to healthcare, with particular attention given to minorities and the deprived and dispossessed.

Under the foundation’s Community Health Initiative Scheme (CHIS), grants can be used for one specific purpose or divided up between projects.

To apply, local healthcare groups must be not-for-profit or charitable. Healthcare groups applying for the grant must have a specifically defined project.

They cannot apply for funding to pay for debts, student tuition, medical costs, construction projects or employee salaries.

If successful, a local organisation must give the Adelaide Health Foundation progress reports on how the funding is being applied.
