GreatGas looks to Lucan for next unmanned petrol station

EMO Oil, which trades as GreatGas, is looking to build another unmanned petrol filling station following the success of its unmanned premises in Ballymount.

Plans for the development of a new filling station with two four-hose petrol pumps has been submitted with South Dublin County Council for a premises in Lucan.

The development, if approved, will be located at the Ballyowen Castle Shopping Centre on Castle Road.

Provision for two 40,000 litre underground storage tanks and associated fuel pipework is also included within the application.

It also includes advertising signage on the edge of the forecourt canopy, two electrical cabinets and concrete slabs with associated drainage.

A decision is due on the application by November 7, with third-party submissions due by October 17.
