Green Angel waxes lyrical about ingredients in candles

RATHCOOLE skincare company Green Angel’s Seaweed Soap with Lavender and Mandarin is among the locally-made craft items featuring in Design Ireland’s new #MadeLocal campaign.

The brand’s luxurious soy wax candles also feature, reflecting the fact that Green Angel Candles are hand-poured in Ireland in a time-honoured craft tradition.

Design Ireland’s #MadeLocal marketing campaign focuses on Irish crafters who design and make their products locally.

Handmade from 100 per cent soy wax, Green Angel candles produce a cleaner burn than paraffin wax and feature a natural cotton wick.

Priced at €20, the hand-crafted candles provide around 55 hours of candlelight.

The company’s Organic Seaweed Soap is prepared from four different types of nutrient-rich hand-harvested Irish Seaweed from the west coast of Ireland.

Green Angel is delighted and proud to have been selected to participate in Design Ireland’s #MadeLocal campaign, according to company co-founder Mary Mitchell.

“We have been creating exclusive seaweed and essential oil-based skincare, spa and hair-care products in Ireland since 2006, and rely on traditional craft methods for much of our handmade production.

“Natural, sustainable and locally-sourced ingredients means Green Angel beauty products are good for the local economy and for the environment, as well as great for a luxury beauty regime,” the award-winning beauty-business owner says.

Founded in 2006 by Chris and Mary Mitchell, the company has enjoyed considerable growth in recent years, both at home and abroad.

Mary Mitchell won Business Person of the Year award at the South Dublin County Business Awards 2019.
