HSA investigates Citywest incident after two men hospitalised
THE Health and Safety Authority has launched an investigation into an incident in Citywest on Thursday, which saw two men hospitalised with injuries.
It is understood that the two men were on a construction site when the incident occurred.
According to a Garda spokesperson: “Gardai and emergency services were alerted to an incident at a location on Citywest Drive, Dublin 24, which occurred on Thursday, 18th July, 2024, at approximately 6.30pm.
“Two males were conveyed to Tallaght University Hospital, one for treatment of serious injuries and the second for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening at this time.
“The Health and Safety Authority has been notified and will conduct its own investigation”.
When contacted by The Echo, the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) said it was aware of the incident.
A HSA spokesperson said: “The Health and Safety Authority is aware of the incident and has launched an investigation.
“As such no further details are available at this time”.
