ITT badminton teams in fine start
IT TALLAGHT’S badminton club made a very positive start to the new season with both their A and B teams carding wins.
The former battled out a 3-2 victory over GMIT in the opening round of the SSI League in Galway.

In the Men’s Singles Paddy Martin carded a 13-21, 10-21 win over Abdullah Abbasi before team mate Leah Auld followed suit in the Women’s equivalent, beating Lauren Mc-Loughlin 10-21, 11-21.
Martin then teamed up with Jack Lawlor to win the Men’s Doubles and clinch an early victory for the Tallaght side in Group D.
Agnes Ogbe, who was stepping in for injured Ireland International Kate Frost, also performed well for ITT in the Ladies and Mixed Doubles.
Next up for this ITT outfit will be a trip to NCI where they will face hosts and GMIT on November 21.
The ITT B team, meanwhile, recorded a 3-2 win over DCU at Whitehall Road with Alex Hammerer, James Carroll and Monica Bacheco carding match wins.
