JMC Van Trans gets green light from ABP

AN BORD Pleanála (ABP) has granted JMC Van Trans Ltd permission for a warehousing unit incorporating ancillary offices/staff facilities on three floors to the front (south) elevation, office/staff facilities for the warehouse use at the rear (north) elevation and plant room.

Located at Kingswood Business Park, Baldonnel, the applicant lodged an appeal with ABP after South Dublin County Council had refused permission.

 

Totalling 14,104 sq m gross internal area, the new unit comprises: (1) 12,240 sq m of warehousing area (17.9m high) and 1,674 sq m  front ancillary office/staff facilities area on three floors (12.45m high).

The office/staff facilities are attached to the rear of the warehouse (8.4m high), and the 63 sq m plant room attaches to the eastern side of the warehouse (5.7m high).

The development also includes an on-site security hut of 16 sq m (3.00m high) at the HGV access/egress location; 4,160 sq m of solar panels placed on the warehouse roof; site access; ancillary car parking (145 spaces); HGV marshalling yard on 16,380 sq m of yard and HGV parking for 49 vehicles; dock levellers and level access doors; canopy over level-access doors attached to western elevation and canopy over dock levellers at the rear; perimeter landscaping; drainage works, including underground surface water attenuation facility, flood management measures, foul sewer pumping and storage tank.

All services and utilities and all associated site development works.
