JP Poker Card Club making waves

JP Poker Card Club continues to make waves in the Irish live poker scene with the announcement of their partnership with WPT Global to bring a new monthly event to the Irish poker community.

The monthly event will boast a €50,000 guaranteed prize pool for a modest €200 buy-in and will be held the first weekend of each month that includes the first Saturday of the month.

From humble beginnings in 2005 when JP Poker first ran pub poker leagues, to their new state of the art facility located in Tallaght’s well-known Arena complex, which opened in January of this year, JP Poker has come a long way.

Owner JP Mc Cann, a Tallaght native, is a well-known figure in the poker world.

In addition to the JP Poker card club brand, JP is known as the organiser of the Irish Open, the world oldest poker tournament outside of Las Vegas, an event which was held at City West Hotel along with the Norwegian Poker Championships up until 2022 and has since moved location to the RDS.

With almost 20 years of international experience in running card rooms and poker festivals, JP knows what players like.

His leadership and passion for poker are reflected in the high-quality poker experience the club offers as he aims to make JP Poker Card Club Ireland’s premier poker destination.

Nightly tournaments run 7 days a week with entries ranging from €65 to €110 and guaranteed prize-pools ranging from €2,500 to €5,000.

There is also a mid-monthly game which runs on the second Wednesday of every month with a €15,000 GTD prize-pool for €250 entry.
