Killinarden beautician Hollywood glamour at a fraction of high-end cost

A COLOURFUL corner of Killinarden provides a taste of Hollywood glamour and beauty treatments – at a fraction of the high-end cost.

Killinarden Enterprise Park is home to a cluster of beauticians, who are proving to be an attractive one-stop beauty destination for clients.

Three businesses at the centre – Final Touch Beauty Room, Spirt Hair Studio, and the Make Up Room – complement each other with the range of services they provide to customers.

Final Touch owner Yvonne Costigan says their location at the centre, which has favourable rent, allows them to pass on savings to customers.

“The prices are very reasonable, if you go into high-end salons in Dublin and compare the costs with what we provide,” said Yvonne.

Yvonne, a Killinarden resident, only opened Final Touch in May, but says the business is running “flat out” to cater for demand.

Final Touch has five staff, providing a range of beauty services, from waxing to tinting, nails, facials to pedicures.

“We do a lot of packages also, especially for weddings,” said Yvonne.

“It’s pretty much busy all the time. The nails and the tanning are very popular. We just got in a new tan, Bellamianta. All the bloggers are raving about it. I heard it from So Sue Me and ordered it in from the UK. We’re one of the only places providing it. It costs €25, and we’ve been getting great feedback from customers.”

Yvonne continued: “We do specialised waxing, Hollywood lashes for €35 which is very reasonable, and aloe vera facials for €35 which are half-an-hour long and very relaxing. They are very popular during winter.”

Another interesting feature, is that Yvonne has booked a registered doctor to host a Botox clinic on the first weekend of every month – with prices noticeably different to city centre clinics.

“Three areas are €270, two areas are €200 and one area is €130,” said Yvonne.

“It’s handy to have a clinic like that locally. Customers are aware when offers like that are available through our Facebook page.”
