‘Late night’ walk-in vaccination clinic to open in Citywest

A WALK-IN vaccination clinic will open in the Citywest Vaccination Centre this evening, Thursday, August 12.

Open this evening between 6pm and 10pm, the ‘late night’ clinic is open to anyone over the age of 16 who is not yet vaccinated – and wants to get their first dose.

These walk-in clinics are for dose 1 vaccines only, with the HSE sending appointments for second doses by text message.

The Pfizer/BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine is being offered at the walk-in vaccination clinics.

Phil O’Neill, Chief Operations Officer at the Citywest Vaccination Centre, said: “So far the walk-in clinics have been a resounding success.

“To see the great numbers of young people that have turned up to get their vaccine is truly inspirational.

“The turnout at the walk-in clinics has been predominantly younger cohorts but there was a representation from all age groups.

For that reason we are opening up the Citywest Vaccination Centre for a late night walk-in clinic on Thursday, August 12.

“We feel that this might particularly appeal to people who may not have been able to make appointments offered previously due to work or childcare commitments.

“We would encourage anyone who hasn’t yet received their vaccine to come along.”

If you are already registered online, bring photo ID with proof of date of birth.

If not already registered online, registration will take place at the vaccination centre.

People are asked to bring PPS number, Eircode, mobile phone number, email and photo identification.

At the time of The Echo going to print on Wednesday afternoon, the HSE was unable to confirm if a walk-in vaccination clinic will open at Citywest this weekend.
