League champions Rovers honoured at Civic reception

South Dublin County Council’s Mayor, Cllr Peter Kavanagh held a civic reception for Shamrock Rovers in Tallaght Stadium last week to acknowledge Shamrock Rovers League of Ireland Premier Division Title win.

At the event the Mayor presented stunning photos of an amazing season to Ciaran Medlar, Chairman of Shamrock Rovers; Ronan Finn, Team Captain and Stephen Bradley, Manager of Shamrock Rovers.

Mayor Kavanagh said: “Shamrock Rovers have been an inspiration to the community both on and off the field.

“They have played with great skill and passion, and their players are committed to the community in which the club is embedded.

“The relationship between the council and Shamrock Rovers serves as an example for other clubs and other local authorities, and the stadium management and council staff are proud to have played an important role in back-to-back title wins for the Hoops.”
