Library hope for summer of next year
The county architects timeline was in response to a question by Labour councillor Breda Bonner, at the Clondalkin ACM this Wednesday (January 21).
Latest information supplied by the Architects Department to the County Librarian, displayed a timeline for delivery of the project – scheduled to be constructed at the junction of Liscarne Close and Oatfield Avenue in Rowlagh.
Subject to funding approval, the anticipated timeline could see a developed design by September 2015, tender issued in the first quarter of 2016, building work to commence on site in summer 2016 and opening of the library in the last quarter of 2017.
Labour councillor Breda Bonner, a principal at St Bernadette’s in Quarryvale, has been lobbying for a library in North Clondalkin for 30 years.
