Liffey Sound 96.3fm adds to their trophy collection with two CRAOL Gold awards

LIFFEY Sound 96.4FM added more awards to their trophy collection at the CRAOL, the national awards for community radio in Ireland, reports Maurice Garvey.

Members of the Lucan radio station’s outside broadcast team won Gold for their work at the Lucan Festival.

Meanwhile, DJ Ava Vox also won Gold, in recognition of her excellent music show ‘The Underground Sessions.’

CRAOL held their annual Achievement awards in the Sheraton Hotel in Athlone on October 26.

A Liffey Sound spokesperson said: “Huge congratulations to our outside broadcast team, Kelly Darcy, Maria Murphy, Gary Gibson, Jon White and Stephen O Sullivan, who won Gold in the category Creativity & Effectiveness – Value to the Community’ for our coverage of the Lucan Festival 2022.

“And congratulations to Ava Vox who won Gold in the category Social Benefit Music for her programme The Underground Sessions. Ava’s programme is broadcast 7pm-9pm every Tuesday. Tune in for the best of punk, rock and alternative music, interviews and updates on gigs. All our radio presenters are volunteers and it was fantastic that their hard work was recognised in this way.”
