Liffey Valley Fitness housing plans are refused permission
PLANS to nearly double the number of permitted residential units at the site of Liffey Valley Fitness on Coldcut Road in Clondalkin have been refused permission by South Dublin County Council.
The council granted permission to the applicant, Cavvies Limited, last year to develop 27 residential units on the site.
The applicant submitted an application last May for alterations to the permitted planning permission, chiefly seeking to extend the permitted housing units to a total of 48.
It was proposed that this could be facilitated by converting and extending the existing mezzanine plant floor and carrying out fenestration alterations with the addition of new balconies.
The submission included plans for the 48 residential units to consist of 40 two-bed apartments, four one-bed apartments and four studios.
It was also proposed that there would be a revised car parking layout, with 52 car parking spaces instead of the 42-surface level car parking spaces permitted in Cavvies Limited’s original application.
It was noted in the application that all other aspects of the development would remain as permitted under the previously granted planning permission.
The council refused permission for the modificiations to the planned development on July 7.
