
Local Dunnes Stores shops to remain closed today due to Storm Ophelia
Dunnes Stores announced over night that its stores will remain closed today (Monday) due to Storm Ophelia.
Making the announcement on Twitter, a spokesperson said: “Due to storm Ophelia – all Dunnes Stores in ROI & Northern Ireland will be closed on Monday 16th October.

Meanwhile, Tesco have said they are monitoring the changing weather conditions, and stores will remain open unless conditions permit otherwise.
In a statement they said: “Tesco stores will be open tomorrow unless local conditions permit otherwise. Please check with your local store before travelling.”

This morning, local Lidl and Aldi stores were open, and many people were stocking up on essentials such as water, candles, batteries and other such items.
