Local Enterprise Week: Free talks, seminars and workshops…

AS PART of Local Enterprise Week, which takes place between March 4 and 8, the South Dublin Local Enterprise Office is running a series of events to showcase the supports they offer to start ups, self-employed and small businesses.

An interesting and practical series of talks, seminars and workshops will take place during Local Enterprise Week to encourage and support budding entrepreneurs and more established businesses.

Tom Rooney, Head of Enterprise at South Dublin Local Enterprise Office, spoke of the significance of initiatives like Local Enterprise Week in “elevating the endeavours of the vibrant local business community”.

Mr Rooney said: “South Dublin has an exceptional level of entrepreneurial talent and highly successful emerging and growing businesses, and we urge businesses to join us in attending some of the free events this year.”

Budding entrepreneurs and established businesses are all invited to take part

Experts and advisors will be on hand to assist those with “just an idea” and who are exploring the option of starting their own business, with help available on business planning to sales, marketing to finance.

Technology will also be a focus of Local Enterprise Week, with an online session introducing learners to AI tools and the concept of machine learning.

Well-being in the workplace is also on the agenda, with a Laughter Yoga session being held on International Women’s Day, March 8.

Student enterprise events are also set to take place in schools in the locality encouraging young people, with an interest in business, on their entrepreneurial journey.
