Love Of Music: Skull the Pierre releases ep ‘Make art not content’

“The privileged should give, and I’m privileged to be here. This is my gift to Dublin”.

Following his latest EP, ‘Make Art Not Content,’ Dublin’s rapping anomaly, Skull The Pierre, sings his praises for his adopted home on new surprise-single ‘Dublin.’ With the grit and vocal style of the Beastie Boys and a hard-hitting, guitar-dominated hip-hop beat reminiscent of Gnarls Barkley’s ‘Crazy’ and Justin Timberlake’s ‘Sexy Back,’ ‘Dublin’ is an epic alternative hip-hop anthem, destined to echo from the streets to the clubs across the city.

Pursuing his love of music, the Swedish rapper and producer moved to Dublin four years ago to attend BIMM Dublin.

He has since independently established a vibrant career within Dublin’s music scene, performing alongside some of Ireland’s top artists, including Kojaque, Bricknasty, and Shiv. In July, he performed at his first UK festival, 2000Trees.

Skull performed at the hip-hop showcase Kamikaze in the Soundhouse earlier in the month, with a headline show in September yet to be announced.

The future looks bright for this young artist, with more shows, releases, and performances planned for 2025, promising an exciting year ahead.

The buzz around him continues to grow and the up-and-coming rapper has been receiving recognition and support from some of the biggest names in the Irish music industry and abroad, such as Radio X and Amazing Radio in London, Nialler 9, Dan Hegarty, Claire Beck, Kieran McGuinness, GoldenPlec, Vamp & Fade, John Barker, and more.
