Lowest rental prices along Luas Red Line recorded in Tallaght

THE three least expensive rental prices along the Luas Red Line are all located in the Tallaght area, with properties within the vicinity of the Cookstown, Belgard and Cheeverstown Luas stops commanding the lowest rent out of all of the Luas stops on both Luas lines.

The data for these findings was analysed using the average rental prices for one- and two-bedroom properties close to each of the Luas stops, with Cookstown garnering an average of €1,311, Belgard commanding an average of €1,182, while the lowest rental price is Cheeverstown at €1,056.

Property website Daft.ie released these findings in their Dublin Rail Rental Price Map this week, which also showed that rents near the Tallaght Luas stop average €1,517, while one- and two-bed properties near the Fettercairn Luas stop are rented for an average of €1,626.

The three most expensive rent locations across both Luas lines are located along both the Green Line and the Red Line, with Spencer Dock on the Red Line attracting an average rent of €2,260, closely followed by Mayor Square – NCI on the Red Line, with properties around the Green Line’s Charlemont stop commanding an average rent of €2,091.

Martin Clancy from Daft.ie said: “Commuters living close to Dublin’s DART stations are now paying €1,810 on average each month – in contrast, the average rent by a red Luas stop is now €1,652 while it costs €1,797 for those close to the green Luas line.”

The average rent prices concern the period between April 2017 and March 2018, with a total of 125 stops and stations, on both Luas lines and the DART, being included in the property website’s findings.
