The development will include the construction of 30 additional parking spaces, a new shared surface entrance and access pathway, and all incidental park furniture such as signage, bins and benches.

Also included in the notice is the provision of a GAA pitch with vertical ball-stop netting, two soccer pitches and a children’s playground area and linear natural play areas.

Integrated swales, drainage, wetland areas and all ancillary works also make up part of the public notice.

The plans are available to view online on the council’s public consultation portal website, www.consult.sdublincoco.ie, between May 26 and July 8.

Due to restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, plans and particulars of the development will be available for inspection or purchase at the cost of making a copy, at County Hall in Tallaght by appointment only until June 24.

Submissions and observances in relation to the development can be made on the online portal or in writing up until 5pm on July 8.

According to the council, the proposal has undergone “Appropriate Assessment Screening” under the Habitats Directive and screening for Environmental Impact Assessment under the EIA Directive.

The public can apply directly to An Bord Pleanala, within four weeks of the publication of the notice on May 26, for a screening determination as to whether the development would be likely to have any significant effects on the environment.
