Male taken to hospital with significant injuries after scrambler accident

Units from Dublin Fire Brigade in Dolphin’s Barn and Donnybrook attended the scene, with DFB saying one male was admitted to hospital with significant injuries.

It is not known whether or not the person was wearing a helmet, but DFB reissued their plea with drivers of all types of motorcycles to always protect themselves by wearing a helmet.

Via the Dublin Fire Brigade Twitter account a spokesperson said: “Integrated fire EMS response to a scrambler -v- car RTC in Drimnagh earlier today (Thursday).

“Dolphin’s Barn Fire Engine and Rescue tender with D’Brook ambulance.

“1 male to hospital with significant injuries. Helmets save lives and should always be worn on motorcycles of any type.”
