Man (30) accused of dealing over €50k in cannabis and cocaine

A MAN accused of dealing in over €50,000 worth of cannabis and cocaine from his home has been remanded for service of his book of evidence by Tallaght District Court.

Lawrence Christie, aged 30, with an address at Church Grove, Aylesbury, Tallaght, is charged with simple possession of cannabis, simple possession of cocaine, possession of cannabis for sale or supply and possession of cocaine for sale or supply at the above address on December 22, 2017.

He is also charged with possession of cannabis and cocaine for sale or supply with a value of €13,000 or more at his address at Church Grove also on December 22 last.

Solicitor for the DPP, Jonathan Antonotti, told Judge Brian O’Shea that the book of evidence was not ready.

Judge O’Shea asked what was the value of the alleged drugs.

Sergeant Eithne Madden said it will be alleged that Christie was found in possession of cannabis worth €39,000 and cocaine worth €13,000.

Mr Antonotti asked for a remand to January for service of the book of evidence.

Judge O’Shea remanded Christie on continuing bail to a date in January for service of the book.
