Man dies in early morning crash on Naas Road

Gardai in Clondalkin are investigating a serious single vehicle road traffic collision in which a man died.

The crash occurred at on the Naas Road outbound, just after the junction with the Long Mile Road in the early hours of this morning.

The collision occurred just before 6am, when the car collided with road barriers.

Two males were seriously injured and taken to St James Hospital.

A Garda statement read: “Gardai in Clondalkin investigating the serious single vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the Naas Road outbound, just after the junction with the Long Mile Road can confirm that one of the males (35 years) was pronounced dead at St James Hospital.

The second male (32years) remains in a serious condition.

The road is currently closed pending the completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
