Man to appear in court in connection with Tallaght deaths

A MAN in his 20’s is to appear in court this evening in connection with the violent deaths of 18-year-old Lisa Cash and twins Christy and Chelsea Cawley, (8) in Rossfield Estate in Tallaght in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Gardai charged the man this evening and will appear in the Criminal Court of Justice in connection with the investigation.

A statement released by Gardai this evening said: “The male (20’s) arrested in relation to the fatal incident in Rossfield, Tallaght on the 4th September 2022, has been charged. He is scheduled to appear before the CCJ this evening, Monday, 5th September 2022.”

Gardai, armed detectives and Specialist Armed Support Unit members rushed to the scene in Rossfield around 12.30am on Sunday morning where three siblings – two children and an adult teenager were removed from the scene by ambulance to Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) at Crumlin, where all three were later pronounced deceased

A vigil was held in the Rossfield estate this evening where residents released balloons to mourn the loss of the three family members.
