McEntee to remain with Ballyboden despite being named new Meath boss

Andy McEntee has been named the new Meath senior football manager.

The Nobber man’s appointment was ratified at last night’s Meath County Board meeting.

However, the man who orchestrated Ballyboden St Endas’ All-Ireland Senior Football Club Championship success last season will remain with the Firhouse Road side for the current Championship season.

‘Boden confirmed last night that McEntee will remain with the club as they look to defend their Dublin, Leinster and All-Ireland crowns.

McEntee, who won All-Ireland medals with the Royals in 1987 and 1988, will be joined on the Meath coaching panel by his brother Gerry, Finian Murtagh and Donal Curtis.
