More than 1,100 Tallaght homes without power this evening

More than 1,100 homes in the Tallaght area are without power this evening, with ESB crews in the area searching for the fault.

Since around 5.20pm, 1,170 homes in the Old Bawn and Kiltipper area have been without power, with the cause of the outage yet unknown.

A spokesperson for ESB told The Echo this evening: “1,170 customers are currently without power from Old Bawn to Kiltipper. 

“Crews have been deployed and are searching for the fault...we are unsure what the cause is as of yet."
