New plans for Ballyfermot Road
RESIDENTS are invited to attend a draft plan by Dublin City Council, which is proposing many changes to the Ballyfermot Road.
The plan is being presented in Ballyfermot Library on Monday, April 24, from 6pm to 8pm.
The views and opinions of all are welcome, particularly from those living along the route and those with business interests in the area.
The draft shows that DCC plan to put a tree-lined avenue along the 1km route from the Assumption Church/Kylemore Road roundabout to the Ballyfermot Community Civic Centre.
Included in the proposal is the management of traffic, incorporating a new road layout and redesigned parking.
Also included is a renewed public realm that provides greater levels of pedestrian use, particularly around shopping areas to encourage footfall and business.
Improved cycleways and further greening are also under consideration.
Residents are encouraged to come along and have their say.
