One Direction’s Harry Styles came to Tallaght and had a memorable experience

By Simon Walsh

One Direction were in Dublin over the weekend playing to a packed out Three Arena over three nights, but rather than their music making the headlines on social media, it was the story of how Harry Styles was once taken to Tallaght by fellow bandmate Niall Horan that had so called 'Directioners' tweeting like crazy on Sunday evening.

According to Styles, who addressed the huge audience on Sunday night, Horan took him to a party in Tallaght five years ago when the band was in its infancy, and he received a headbutt.

Asking the crowd, "is there anyone here from Tallaght, I'm going to tell you a story", Styles went on to say, "About five years ago I travelled over to Ireland with young Niall, we went to Mullingar, and we went to another party, didn't we Niall".

Asking Niall where the party was, Horan replied, “Tallaght”, to rapturous applause from the audience. Styles went to ask the Mullingar native, “what happened to me in Tallaght?” which Horan replied to by saying, “Some fella stuck you a headbutt”.

Seeing the lighter side of the whole thing Styles added: “I went to Tallaght one time and got the nut stuck on me, but luckily for him he managed to run away quick, I could have had him if I wanted to but I’m a lover I’m not a fighter”.
