One stop shop proves a success for Tallaght brothers

TWO brothers working in construction, developed a novel concept to progress their business, by opening a showroom in Terenure.

Builders Mark and Stephen Bradford, from Kilnamanagh in Tallaght, have seen the ups and downs of the business over the last 15 years – an industry which is usually the first to feel the harsh effects of a recession or tightened budgets for homeowners.

Having worked in house renovations and experienced erratic periods of good times and bad, the pair decided six months ago, to establish a one-stop shop at Whitehall Close.

Located beside The Pines pub, the store provides clients with a showroom which allows them to view the whole range of services.

“It’s good for customers to have the one-stop shop instead of going from one place to the next,” said Mark.

“We’ve been dealing with suppliers for over 10 years. We work with customers who come in. We will go out to the house, then go through things with them in the design process.”

The two brothers are still active on the job site, but establishing a permanent store has improved their standing in the community.

“Having the shop reaffirms we aren’t going anywhere,” said Mark.

“We have only been open six months, but it’s starting to pick up. We do the whole range, supply full renovations, tiles, bathrooms, laminated flooring, new kitchens.

“At the moment we have a Christmas offer of a full house renovation for €8,500, which includes the supply of a kitchen style from our showroom range up to 3.6 metres, Moderna bathroom suite, tiles for bathroom up to 24 sq m, floor tiles or 12mm laminated flooring for downstairs (up to 50 sq m), and 8mm laminated flooring for upstairs floor area (up to 50 sq m).”

The ABMC showroom is open Monday to Saturday – visit ABMC on Facebook for special offers.
