Plans for 294 dwellings in Cappagh gets the green light

PLANS for the construction of 294 dwellings on a 6.3-hectare site within the Clonburris SDZ in the townland of Cappagh in Dublin 22 have been granted planning permission.

Developer Kelland Homes’ plans for the site consist of the construction of 294 dwellings, a crèche and a retail/commercial unit.

The residential aspect of the development comprises 118 two-, three- and four-bed, two-storey semi-detached and terraced houses.

A total of 104 two- and three-bed duplex units accommodated in 10 three-storey buildings, and 72 apartments in two four- and six-storey buildings, are included.

The proposal includes one two-storey crèche, and one two-storey retail/commercial unit.

Access to the development will be via the permitted road network which provides access from the Ninth Lock Road to the east and the R113 (Fonthill Road) to the west.

The proposed development will connect into the permitted infrastructural works as approved under the Clonburris Strategic Development Zone Planning Scheme 2019.

Parking is to be provided in the form of 401 surface car-parking spaces, and 799 bicycle-parking spaces.

South Dublin County Council granted planning permission for the development on May 2 last.

Kelland Homes is the developer behind a number of residential schemes in the county, including Elder Heath in Kiltipper and Tynan Hall Park in Tallaght.
