Plans lodged for a 46-unit residential development in Newcastle

PLANS for a 46-unit residential development in Newcastle have been lodged with South Dublin County Council.

Applicant Geotechnical Investigations Ltd, who list John Valentine Marren and Kathleen Marren as directors, have outlined plans for the residential units to be housed across a number of blocks off Main Street near Peamount Cross.

It is proposed that Block A will consist of ten two-storey, three-bedroom terrace houses, Block B is to contain nine two-storey, three-bedroom terrace houses, while Block C will consist of eight two-storey, three-bedroom terrace houses.

The submission includes plans for Block D to contain seven two-storey, three-bedroom terrace houses, and for Block E to contain four two-storey, three-bedroom terrace houses.

There are plans for apartment units in four two-storey blocks, to consist of one three-bedroom apartment at ground and first floor level, and one two-bedroom apartment at ground floor level.

There are provisions for four housing units for the elderly, and for landscaping, parklands open space, car parking and street works.

There are also provisions for junction works onto the existing permitted access road, outfall drains, boundary treatments and all associated site development works.

A decision on the application is due from South Dublin County Council by December 17.
