Proposals for new raised pedestrian crossing outside school

PROPOSALS to install a new raised pedestrian crossing outside a school, in a bid to combat incessant speeding, have been put forward to South Dublin County Council targeting a 2023 delivery.

The local authority has stated that “illegal parking is enforced by An Garda Síochána” in response to concerns raised in relation to St Mark’s Community School, where parking and speeding in its vicinity is endangering students, teachers and other road users.
