Provincial podium spots for Templeogue
THERE was no shortage of medals won by Templeogue swimmers at the recent Leinster Long Course Championships in the NAC in Abbotstown.
While Ellen Walshe was back on top of the podium following wins in the Girls 400m Individual Medley and 50 Butterfly, Alie Martin recorded her first ever gold medals in the Girls 50m and 100m Backcrawl.
Cara Osing emerged top from the Girls 400m FC while Robyn Lynch picked up her first senior medal when she finished third in the 100m Breaststroke as did Leah Martin in the Girls 50mBC.
Bronze medals also went the way of Evan Rossiter in the Boys 400m Individual Medley while Joe Kenny followed suit in the Boys 100m BS for what was also his first senior podium finish.
What’s more he took fourth place in both the 200mBS and 200m IM with Lynch following suit in the Girls 50BF.
Among the other finalists for the Templeogue club at these championships were Hannah Walshe, Megan Culbert, Isabella Moes, Finn O’Keeffe, Greg Sinnott and Sean Kenny.
