A defibrillator located on the course was also used to help the man before emergency services arrived.
An advanced paramedic on board a DFB vehicle treated the man further.
Speaking online today a spokesperson for Dublin Fire Brigade said: “Over the phone instructions from our 999 control room, good bystander CPR, defibrillator and an advanced paramedic on one of our fire engines resulted in a ROSC (Return Of Spontaneous Circulation).
