
Retail and restaurant plans for Emmet Road

PLANS for a mixed-use retail and apartment development in Inchicore, has been lodged with Dublin City Council.
Applicants Vabtol Ltd are seeking permission to construct a four-storey apartment block, and renovate an existing building on Emmet Road, close to the Tyrconell Road junction.
Plans lodged with Dublin City Council contain proposals for the construction of a three-storey building to the street front, with an extension and a pedestrian link to an existing building at 205 Emmet Road.
Works will comprise retail/restaurant at ground level, with two storeys containing four apartments above.
Plans for the apartments contain balconies fronting onto Emmet Road.
The proposal also includes the construction of a four-storey apartment development to the rear of 205A Emmet Road, consisting of a single one-bed, nine two-bed, two three-bed apartments, and one three-bed duplex with balconies to the north, west and south elevations.
Plans include setback terraces at third-floor level, with 14 car-parking spaces, covered bike-storage areas, vehicular access road from Emmet Road, entrance gates and extension of existing boardwalk for pedestrian assess.
Dublin City Council has yet to make a decision on the planning application.
